]]>Great news we're now shipping WORLDWIDE daily - (again)!
Royal Mail (UK postal service) are working with their airline and postal/courier partners to maintain services over borders and across the globe, however delays should be expected. Many countries have implemented special measures to combat the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19, especially at the borders and also for signature services during delivery to maintain social distancing.
Please expect shipping delays during this time. We are shipping daily whilst maintaining a covid safe working environment.
UK - allow 2 weeks for delivery
Europe - allow 2 - 4 weeks for delivery
Rest of World - allow 2 - 6 weeks for delivery
If you'd like tracking please upgrade shipping during checkout. Please ensure the shipping address is correct
]]>
Royal Mail is currently NOT accepting parcels to Europe, except for the Republic of Ireland, due to a UK travel ban triggered by the discovery of a new faster spreading coronavirus strain. The company has also added Canada and Turkey to its "on suspension" list due to delays caused by "severely limited" air capacity.
We are not currently able to apply postage to European orders. We will hold the orders until this changes.
Please expect delays with mail arriving, due the massive increase in people posting Christmas gifts, after the government latest changes to Christmas, preventing many families from mixing this season.
We will be posting orders on the following days over the Christmas Holiday period to keep our UK and Rest of World orders moving. We will be closed on the other days and will be back to normal posting on Monday 4th January 2021.

]]>Royal Mail are experiencing staff shortages due to Coronavirus, as is the postal system Worldwide. We're now seeing delays in delivery:
UK - around 1 week to arrive, yes we've even seen 1st Class taking this long.
Worldwide - is taking around 4-6 weeks.
Please keep in mind shipping times are not guaranteed, postal service is very hit and miss at the moment. We are doing all we can to ensure orders are dispatched as quickly as we can, to minimise any delays. We're finding this extremely stressful and frustrating seeing orders not arrive in time for special occasions. Please order several weeks in advance to avoid any delivery stress.
Thanks for your continued support during these uncertain times. Stay safe and keep eating cake!
Covid 19 - How we're now working
Yes we are still posting orders whilst it remains safe to do so. We have a strict one person in Sprinkle HQ at a time, so we can maintain Social Distancing. We live in a very rural area and are able to travel to work individually by car, coming into contact with nobody. We are taking it in turns to work remotely or in at Sprinkle HQ to ensure our own safety.
The Royal Mail is continuing to collect our parcels. We are continuing to wash hands and sanitise surfaces, door handles etc. We are able to leave our post outside ready for the Post person to collect, so do not have to come into contact with anyone.
Royal Mail are maintaining operations as best as they can, delivery may take longer than normal during this time, due to staff shortages. For the latest updates on Royal Mail service please see here.
If our service changes we will update this post as soon as possible. Stay safe and thank you for your continued support.

We understand people can easily get confused by the different dates labelled on our food products which can often lead to perfectly safe to eat foods being thrown away.
So, what is the difference between the best before date and the use by date?
The BEST BEFORE date is about quality, not safety. The food is still safe to eat after this date but may not be at its best. All our sprinkles are labelled with a best before date. After this date, the flavours, colours and texture may not be as good, but the sprinkles are still perfectly fine to eat, providing they have been stored as instructed.
A USE-BY date on food is the most important date to remember as it is about safety. Products that go off quickly, such as meat products or ready-to-eat salads will have use-by dates. After the use-by date, don’t eat it, cook it or freeze it. Food can still be contaminated even if it looks and smells fine after the use-by date. Don’t trust the sniff test, you cannot see, smell or taste the bacteria that can cause food poisoning. Our cake sprinkles do not have a use-by date
All our cake sprinkles are safe to eat after the best before date.
Understanding the difference between dates on food products can lead to less food wastage, saving you money and time.

Food waste occurs throughout the production and sale of food with the biggest waste occurring at the point of consumption. The environmental impacts of food waste are significant:
Thankfully, the seriousness of this issue is being addressed by New EU targets, which the UK Government should agree to. There is a target for a 50% reduction in food waste by 2030
So how can your business take action to reduce food waste? Here's some handy tips.
1. Start monitoring your food waste
In order to reduce your food waste, which is at the top of the waste hierarchy, start monitoring and recording food waste in a spreadsheet or using an app (manual recording won’t provide trends unless it is typed up). Then you can see trends and volumes and look for ways to reduce. For example, iZettle offers food waste monitoring software as part of their plans. Monitor overproduction, spoilage, plate waste and out-of-date ingredients separately.
2. Discuss why food waste is occurring
3. Sign up to a food waste diversion programme
There is often unavoidable food waste in a food business but this can be re-sold or given away through these food redirection projects:
Food waste diversion options
4. Repurpose food that would otherwise be wasted
Stale pastries and bread to vegetable peelings can all be reused for other recipes and kept out of the bin.
Here are some more ideas using food that would otherwise be wasted:

The Sustainable Sidekicks provide support and training courses for businesses and green champions looking to tackle their environmental impacts particularly focusing on waste reduction and behaviour change.

]]>If you're making a cake for a special occasion and make too much or have left over sponge off-cuts and buttercream from piping bags and mixing bowls. Instead of throwing it out and contributing to the 1.9 million tonnes of food is wasted by the food industry every year in the UK - (FareShare). Turn it into a delicious cake jar.
The following cake jars have been made using left over halloween orange cake sponge, black, white and green buttercream from piping bags, spoonfuls of marmalade and the last of a pack of Halloween sprinkles.
Use an empty glass jar saved from being recycled (I used an old jam jar and a large olive jar!) Ensure the jar and lid are clean and dry, as you don't want your cake jar, tasting of Lime Pickle!
You will need:
Instructions:
1. Break the cake sponge into large chunks.
2. Place a couple of cake chunks into the jar
3. Add buttercream
4. Then add more cake chunks
5. Now add a spoon of jam or chocolate ganache.
6. Repeat steps 2-5, adding in any edible decorations (Sprinkles, choc, sweets), as you like, until the jar is full.
7. Top with sprinkles, place lid on jar. and ta daaa, you've created your own cake jar using.
Store in the fridge, eat with a spoon or give to a friend.

Halloween Bundt Cake
The first bake in our spooky Halloween cake blog is this beautiful Halloween bundt cake. This cake is made up of an orange, purple, black and green inner sponge and then topped with icing and sprinkles of the same colour. This bake is perfect if you want to wow guests at a Halloween party you’re throwing, due to its bright and attractive colours and design. This recipe serves around 18-24 people.
Haunted House Cake
Next up we have this incredible haunted house cake. This bake is shaped in the form of a classic haunted house, with all the Halloween themed components such as gravestones, ghosts, pumpkins, keep out signs and more! It is the little details on this bake that really make it pop, such as the engravings on the door and individual roof tiles as well as the customizable signs on the outer exterior.
Monster Eye Cake
Third on our list we have a simple, yet brilliant Halloween bake in the form of this monster eye cake. This cake is perfect for the beginner baker as it doesn’t require the intricate icing skill that a lot of Halloween bakes require. The eyes are really the thing that stand out on this cake, and they are made from Oreos and M&M’s, which provide a pretty clever (and tasty) solution for this part of the cake.
Pumpkin Chocolate Halloween Cake
Next on our Halloween cake blog we have this trick or treaters paradise pumpkin Halloween cake. This cake really sums up the spirit of Halloween with a chocolate drip effect topped with all the sweets you’d expect to find on October 31st, such as Oreos, candy corn, sprinkles and more! This recipe takes around an hour and 25 minutes from start to finish and comprised of 4 layers.
Halloween Centipede Cake
Credit: Buzzfeed
When we think of Halloween, one of the first things that comes to mind are the creepy animals and creatures that are associated with it, and that’s what makes this Halloween centipede cake perfect for any event or party this October 31st. The bake is actually made from 4 different individually decorated black cakes as well as some poignant orange details that really make it pop!
Chocolate Lava Skull Cakes
Credit: Plain Chicken
Chocolate + Lava + Skulls = a Halloween baking dream! This next bake is a delicious idea that will go down well at any Halloween party. These chocolate lava skulls are made from a moist chocolate cake recipe and then moulded into skull shapes. The best part however is definitely the gooey chocolate lava at the centre of the cake.
Rainbow Skull Drip Cake
Credit: Crazy For Us
If you prefer to go for a more arty design, rather than scary this Halloween, look no further than this amazing rainbow skull drip cake. As you may know, we love drip cakes here at Baking Time Club (read our blog on them here), and this particular iteration is jaw-dropping! The rainbow colours, impressive blue skull as well as the 2 ice cream cones that form horns on top make the this whole bake memorable. This bake looks more like something you’d find in an art gallery than in a bakery.
Ghostly Vegan Red Velvet Cake (Featuring Baking Time Club Halloween Nonpareil Sprinkles)
Credit: luvelia.louise
Our next bake comes in the form of this delicious red velvet cake, baked by one of our wonderful customers! We particularly love the way the black drip contrasts with the white icing, as well as how our Halloween Non Pareil vegan sprinkles have been used beautifully on top. Also, the cake is 100% vegan!
Halloween Hay Stack Cake
Credit: Sweet Magazine
Next up we have this family-friendly Halloween hay stack cake. The super Autumnal design of this cake is beautiful, and we particularly love the lazy witches cat at the bottom. The chocolate crumble on the base to create the idea of farm soil is also a great touch.
Halloween Pumpkin Cake
Credit: A Wicked Whisk
Nothing says Halloween more than black icing and pumpkin flavours and this bake combines them both! With black buttercream between each pumpkin layer as well as a shiny black iced outer, this bake gives off seriously spooky vibes.
Red Velvet Spider Cake
The penultimate Halloween bake in this blog is this frightening red velvet spider cake. The spider’s webs are made in a super creative way, by melting marshmallows and drawing the strings across the red velvet cake to create a webbed effect. The cake is comprised of a red velvet base and a chocolate buttercream icing. This bake can be made 2 and a half hours and will serve 16 people.
Strawberry Monster Cake
The final bake in our Halloween cake blog is this incredible strawberry monster cake. This is probably the scariest cake we’ve ever seen, with the individual monsters being created by using strawberries for the bodies and black gum paste for the tentacles. This actual cake itself is a white almond sour cream cake and is topped with whipped cream icing and ganache.

Lately at the Baking Time Club HQ, we’ve been receiving a lot of messages regarding a certain New York City web-slinger. Questions like; “Which Baking Time Club sprinkles would work best on a Spiderman Cake?” or “Do you have any suggestions for how to throw a Spiderman party?” have been flooding our inbox so we’ve decided to help. This blog post will show you some amazing cake designs to help create a Spiderman cake to remember, as well as which of our products will work well on these cakes!
Spiderman Chocolate Buttercream Drip Cake
Credit: @my_petite_sweets_perth
It’s quite well known that here at Baking Time Club we are massive fans of drip cakes (read our sprinkle drip cake blog here), hence why we completely love this Spiderman themed version. This bake is topped with loads of delicious treats such as Kit Kats, rainbow laces and more. The drip is made from blue icing however could easily be changed to black depending on which version of Spiderman you were going for. Additionally, the cake is topped with both a Spiderman action figure, badge, and web-encrusted writing. Amazing!
To turn this drip cake in to a sprinkle drip cake, why not add some of our Patriotic Party or Queen of Hearts vegan and gluten free sprinkle mix on to the drip icing for a different look? We have bags available in 60g, 120g and 1kg bulk sizes on our site!
Spiderman Mini-Head Fondant Cake
Credit: @paolascreations
Next we have this vibrant Spiderman mini-head cake. Although the colours and webbing design is both classic yet simple, the way the Spiderman head appears in the middle of the cake is truly what makes this cake one to remember. The cake base is covered in the classic Spiderman web pattern and logo, with the superhero’s head and hands shooting through the middle.
Spiderman Buttercream Web Cake
Credit: Maria West UK
This red and white buttercream Spiderman cake with cake toppers and edible decorations works perfectly! We especially love the red and white pattern on the outer layer of the cake, as well as the fake webbing.
Why not try adding one of our Red or Blue cake drum's to complete the web-slinging look?
Spiderman Gravity Fondant Cake
Credit: Bespoke Cakes By Lina
Spiderman is known for his gravity-defying web slinging and stunts, and this cake is no different! The base layers of the cake are covered in blue, red and black icing, as well as artificial spiders whilst the top section is really what makes it stand out. The Spiderman figure is suspended from a thin piece of plastic which is covered in web-like white icing to create this brilliant effect.
Spiderman / Venom Half & Half Fondant Cake
Credit: Cakes Decor
We love this idea of the half and half Spiderman cake due to the chance to get creative! You could easily substitute Venom for your child’s favourite villain (For example the Green Goblin or Dr Octopus) for a completely different baking concept.
Spiderman 3D Sculpture Fondant Cake
Credit: How To Cook That
If 3D cake sculpture is your thing why not have a go at this incredible Spiderman 3D sculpture fondant cake? Although one of the more complex designs on our list, this realistic Spiderman torso will definitely be one to remember.
Spiderman Stack Fondant Cake
Credit: Cake Central
With this next bake, we love some of the smaller details that really bring it to life. For example just the print on the base reminds us of a sewer grate cover from New York, as well as the use of yellow in the skyscraper shapes to create a night time feeling. The contrasting colours on this are really what help to bring it to life!
This cake would look great with some of our superhero cake topers on!
Spiderman Buttercream Drip Cake
Credit: Afternoon Crumbs
We love this red and white buttercream drip cake! With iced webs, Spiderman head decorations, a delicious chocolate drip and of course some sprinkles to top it off, we can't think of a better way to celebrate a Spidey-themed birthday.
Spiderman Minion Fondant Cake
Credit: Pinterest
Finally we have this Spiderman minion cake. We love the design on this and can see it going down very well at a younger superhero fan’s birthday party. Similarly to the half and half cake, this style of cake could be adapted to appeal to children who prefer the likes of Batman, Superman or Captain Marvel!

Credit: Spoonabilities
Next up we have a recipe perfect for late summer evenings in this Honey Cheesecake with Honey-Thyme Drizzle. We think the yellow and white mixture of colours looks so appetizing and will be a perfect dessert for a summer BBQ.

Credit: The Cookie Rookie

Best of all it’s completely vegan!
